New Delhi: Digital payments hit a new milestone in September, driven by small-ticket merchant payments and festive-season shopping.

Industry executives said adoption has been strongest among first-time users in tier-2 and tier-3 cities, including several in Karnataka.

The company said it will expand the service in phases, with language support and accessibility features added based on user feedback.

What happens next

Technology in India is no longer about the metros. Some of the most interesting use-cases are emerging from smaller cities, a Bengaluru-based founder said.
